Yes!  We support streaming on all packages above 3Mbps.  Streaming is not supported on packages that are not at least 3Mbps.

No, you do not need a phone line to use our service.

No!  Unlike Satellite internet, weather does not typically affect the internet service that we provide.  On rare occasions, high winds can physically move your antenna, but this can be fixed quickly by our technicians.

Do I need to use a wireless router with your service? 2017-11-25T17:12:33+00:00

Yes.  Our service is wireless from our tower to your home or business, but does not provide WIFI for devices within your home.  You will need to purchase a wireless router in order for devices in your home to use the Internet service.

We can offer you an email address (username@kywimax.com), but we highly recommend that you use one of the numerous free email providers such as Gmail or Yahoo.  These email services are portable and are not associated directly with your KyWimax account, so you can continue to use them in the event that you no longer receive internet service from KyWimax.

Yes.  Our technicians will install a small antenna on the outside of your home.  The antenna is used to send and receive data from one of our tower locations.   We will then run CAT5 from the antenna to the inside of your home where it will connect to your router.
