1. What programming does DirecTV offer?

   DIRECTV® programming and service features access to more than 250 available channels of entertainment. Customers have access to popular networks like Disney Channel, CNN, ESPN and TNT, as well as up to 55 pay per view choices a day, including major Hollywood films and special events. Hit movies start as often as every 30 minutes and they cost only $3.99 each when you use your remote control to order. We also offer an unprecedented professional and collegiate sports subscription lineup, including NFL SUNDAY TICKETT, NBA LEAGUE PASS, NHL® CENTER ICE®, MLB EXTRA INNINGSSM, MLS DIRECT KICKTM, ESPN GamePlan and ESPN FULL COURT. There's even more! Our SPORTS PACK premium service and TOTAL CHOICE® PREMIER package deliver sports action from across the nation. Plus, adult channels like PLAYBOY TV are available on an a la carte basis.

2. How does DirecTV service compare with cable?

   DIRECTV has created a programming service specifically driven to offer customers more choice and value for their entertainment dollar. The DIRECTV service combines America's favorite network channels, other popular networks not available from many cable services, a pay per view service with up to 55 choices of movies and special events a day, local channels in many markets, and an unprecedented sports subscription lineup. No other system offers as many quality program options.

3. Can I use my existing wiring for DIRECTV?

   If the cable in your house is RG-6 coax cable, you can use it to connect your DIRECTV Receiver to your satellite dish. If your cable is not RG6 coax, you will need to run new cable. It is important that you use RG6 cable due to the frequency of the digital signals it must carry.

4. I live in an apartment. Can I get a DIRECTV® System?

   Start by asking your landlord, property manager or homeowners association if you may install a DIRECTV® System on your rooftop. If you're not authorized to mount the dish on the roof or the side of the building, many apartment and condominium residents have the dish installed on a private patio or balcony - a clear view of the southern sky is required. If management has concerns about this, please visit the FCC website for information on your rights to use a DIRECTV® Dish.

5. What is DIRECTV® DVR service?

   It's the most advanced, easy-to-use service available that can digitally record and store up to 70 hours* of television programming without videotape. Tell it once, and it will automatically record your favorite shows every time they air on DIRECTV - even if the network lineup changes. It lets you pause up to 30 minutes, instantly replay, rewind and play back - in normal speed, slow motion or frame by frame - a live DIRECTV® broadcast. DIRECTV DVR service provides you with more flexibility to watch shows when you want, giving you more control of your television viewing experience. *Actual recording capacity varies depending on the type of programming being recorded.

6. Are there parental controls?

   Yes. DIRECTV's built-in Parental Controls feature allows parents to set rating and spending limits on DIRECTV programming.

7. Can I get DIRECTV® programming in my RV or on my boat?

   Yes. You can get most of the same great DIRECTV programming in your RV or boat that you enjoy in your home. To be eligible for some programming services, such as seasonal sports subscriptions, pay per view ordering with your remote control and a low additional receiver fee, we require that your DIRECTV System be continuously connected to a land-based phone line. Therefore, most RV and boat customers are not eligible for these benefits. To install the DIRECTV System on your RV or boat, you can either purchase a self-installation kit or hire a professional installer. 8. Does DIRECTV offer music channels?

   Yes! With XM Satellite Radio we offer up to 72 different audio-only channels featuring America's Largest Playlist of music, news, sports and entertainment.

9. Can weather interfere with my reception?

   Television reception on the system is highly reliable year-round and nationwide. DIRECTV® service is only minimally affected by weather, under extreme conditions. If a signal interruption happens at all, it is usually less than one minute long.
